Mission
Surveillance and observation
Unarmed drones that watch over coastlines, forests and infrastructure, and hand the client dated imagery. We train the client's crews and maintain the aircraft.

Three missions
The mission sets the S330's configuration and the flight schedule. For survey-grade work, see Mapping, surveying & LiDAR.
Maritime and fisheries surveillance
Scheduled flights along the coast and over fishing grounds, to record the presence and activity of vessels and support the services in charge of enforcement.
Protected areas and forests
Regular flights over sensitive zones: clearing, fires, new tracks. Compared from one campaign to the next, the imagery shows what has changed.
Borders and infrastructure
Observation of border areas and visual inspection of long or remote assets, at the request of the competent authorities or the asset owner.
What you receive
Imagery and video
Dated, geolocated photos and video, delivered in the format agreed in the contract.
Reports
One report per mission: areas covered, observations, flight conditions.
Training for your crews
Remote pilots, camera operators and maintenance technicians, trained by our instructors to run the system themselves.
Maintenance
We maintain the drones we have built for our clients.
How we work
- 01
Request review
Every request is reviewed — country, end user, intended use — against the applicable regulations before any offer is made.
- 02
Permits
Flights are prepared with permit applications to the civil aviation authority and the other authorities concerned. The time they take is built into the mission schedule.
- 03
Two ways to work
AirLog, our operating company in Madagascar, flies the mission with its own crews. Or your crews operate the system once trained.
- 04
Data handover
Imagery, video and reports are handed to the client. Terms of use and retention are set out in the contract.

What we do not do
AerialMetric does not design, build or operate weapon or interception systems. Its drones are unarmed and dedicated to observation, monitoring and mapping.
Our prior review of every request and our quality practice are set out on the Quality and compliance page.
Frequently asked questions
Are your drones armed?
No, in no configuration. They carry observation cameras.
Who flies the drones?
That depends on the arrangement: AirLog crews, our operating company in Madagascar, or your own crews, trained by our instructors.
Who receives the imagery and data?
The client. Imagery, video and reports are handed over; terms of use and retention are set out in the contract.
Do you work outside Madagascar?
Every request, in Madagascar or elsewhere, goes through the same prior review. That is why the form asks for the intended country and use. See Where we operate.
